Tiny Home Systems

About

The independent editorial publication behind Tiny Home Systems: who we are, how we research, and what we will not do.

Tiny Home Systems is an independent editorial publication about the practical side of sustainable small-space living, from utility hookups and moisture control to storage that survives daily use and the quiet running costs that decide whether a small home actually works.

We started the site because the calm middle layer of tiny-living writing was missing. There was no shortage of dreamy photography and no shortage of survivalist gear lists, but very little about the unglamorous decisions that actually shape a small footprint: how a legal parking arrangement gets written, why a compact fridge is measured against the federal minimum, how to size a battery against the outages your utility actually reports.

Tiny Home Systems is where we try to close that gap, one guide at a time.

What we cover

Six categories, each written to a documented standard:

How our articles are produced

Every article is researched against primary sources and edited by a person before it publishes. Where an article makes a checkable claim, whether that is an IRC provision, an EIA rate, a DOE benchmark, a U.S. Fire Administration guideline, or a manufacturer specification, we link the source directly so you can verify it yourself. Where a claim depends on hands-on judgment, we say so and describe the specific situation the judgment came from.

Assistive tools, including software that helps with drafting and editing, are part of our workflow. They do not replace editorial oversight. A human editor reads every piece for factual accuracy, structure, and the quiet promise every article makes: that a reader walks away able to do the thing.

What we will not do

We do not publish sponsored articles disguised as guidance. We do not accept product placements or paid recommendations dressed up as editorial. We do not run affiliate-driven listicles designed to fatten a commission. We do not chase a trend that we cannot back with a primary source.

Corrections and updates

We make mistakes. When we do and a reader points one out, we update the article, note what changed, and set a fresh "Updated" date at the top of the piece. Corrections happen in the open, not in a quiet edit. Our full approach is in our editorial policy.

Who is behind it

Tiny Home Systems is edited by Kaushik Kyada, who reads every draft before it ships, keeps every checkable claim tied to a primary source, and writes about the practical mechanics of small-space living: utility hookups, compact plumbing, storage that survives daily use, moisture control, and the quiet running costs of a tiny footprint.

How we are funded

Tiny Home Systems is reader-supported through display advertising provided by Google AdSense and comparable networks. Advertisers have no influence over what we publish. We do not accept outside investment. Our full financial disclosures live in our affiliate disclosure and privacy policy.

Reach the editors

If you have a question, a story to share, or a correction to file, drop us a line. A person reads every email, and we usually reply within a week.
