In a tiny home the bathroom is limited less by wall space than by tank capacity and pump output. Every gallon you draw comes out of a finite freshwater tank and lands in a finite greywater tank, and every hot shower pulls hard on whatever heats your water.   • The composting toilet starts to smell. That almost always means the vent fan lost power or the mix got too wet. Confirm the fan is running, add dry cover material, and empty the liquids bottle, which is usually the real culprit long before the solids bin fills.
  • The greywater tank fills faster than expected. Recheck the actual flow rates. A faucet or showerhead swapped for a non-WaterSense model during a repair can quietly double your output. Confirm the labeled fixtures are still installed.
